The School of Medicine, Division of Malignant Hematology and Medical Oncology, is recruiting for a full-time, PostDoctoral Researcher, in the laboratory of Leukemia and Drug Development Laboratory at Pittsburgh (LDDL-P), to help conduct research in the area of malignant hematology at the Hillman Cancer Center.

Desired Experience:

Prior experience in cancer research and/or immunology. Multi-Omic bioinformatics experience is highly desired.

Duties include:

• Contribute to collective team effort and mentoring.

• Document, organize, and analyze research results and data according to NIH’s preferred good laboratory management practices.

• Make independent contributions to projects in translational drug development projects.

• Independently work on projects and troubleshoot problems.

• Perform immune assays (immunology background highly desired)

• Perform single-cell multi-omic experiments.

• Perform High-Dimensional spectral flow cytometry experiments.

• Animal handling experience to perform murine in vivo studies.

• Gene editing of cell lines and primary cells with CRISPR-Cas9 or viral vectors.

• Interest in learning cancer proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics

• Share responsibility with other lab members for lab maintenance including possible ordering and stocking of laboratory supplies and maintenance of lab inventory.

• Perform statistical and graphical analysis of data, interpretation of data, and validity of testing.

• Maintain timely project goals, deadlines, and studies for contributions to publications and grant funding applications.

• Scientific writing (manuscripts and grant proposals)

Required Education.

PhD Degree required in related fields (i.e. Immunology, Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, cancer genetics, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Chemistry, biotechnology or a related field)
