Authorization Coordinator

We are looking for a detail-oriented Authorization Coordinator to support home care operations for a Contract position based in Roseville, California. This role focuses on coordinating insurance authorization activities, maintaining accurate documentation, and helping ensure timely service delivery for patients. The schedule is a day shift, Monday through Friday, and remote work is required for this assignment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage prior authorization requests for home care services and follow through with payers to secure timely determinations.
• Review referral and coverage information for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with service requirements.
• Maintain organized records of authorization status, approvals, denials, and follow-up actions in the appropriate systems.
• Communicate with clinical teams, referral sources, and insurance representatives to resolve missing information or coverage questions.
• Monitor authorization timelines and escalate urgent cases when approvals may affect continuity of care.
• Support front-end coordination tasks related to intake and service readiness for home care patients.
• Enter and update patient and authorization details in electronic systems, including Epic when applicable.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience handling insurance authorizations in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Background in home care, home health, or a similar patient services environment is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Epic software is helpful but not required.
• Ability to manage multiple cases accurately while meeting deadlines in a remote work setting.
• Strong communication skills for working with payers, internal teams, and referral partners.
• Solid organizational skills and close attention to detail.
• No special certifications are required for this position.

Compensation

$25.00-$28.00 Hourly
