Senior Systems Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the performance, security, and availability of infrastructure across internal and client-facing environments, including Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Active Directory, and Nutanix platforms.
• Administer core security technologies such as Palo Alto firewalls, endpoint protection tools, and mobile device management solutions to protect systems and data.
• Drive infrastructure initiatives from planning through execution, including upgrades, deployments, and improvements that support business and operational goals.
• Provide advanced technical support for workstations, servers, mobile hardware, and telecommunications systems, resolving complex issues with urgency and precision.
• Maintain accurate technical records, software inventories, patch schedules, and operational procedures to support compliance and continuity.
• Partner with external service providers and internal teams to coordinate reliable, secure, and efficient infrastructure operations.
• Deliver responsive support to senior leadership and participate in an after-hours on-call rotation as needed to maintain service stability.
• Travel periodically to client locations to assist with network deployments, troubleshooting, and project-related implementation work.
Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure in environments that include Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, VMware, and network administration.• Strong working knowledge of network segmentation, secure remote connectivity, firewall administration, and endpoint security practices.
• Hands-on experience with backup, disaster recovery, or replication technologies such as Veeam or Zerto.
• Familiarity with monitoring or security platforms such as Splunk or Sentinel, along with scripting experience in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business partners, and executive stakeholders.
• Proven project coordination and troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to guide less experienced team members and contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented culture.
Compensation
