Administrative Assistant
We are looking for a Bilingual Spanish Administrative Assistant to support daily front office operations for an education-focused organization in Calumet Park, Illinois. This Long-term Contract opportunity is well suited for someone who communicates confidently in both English and Spanish, stays organized in a fast-paced setting, and provides a welcoming experience for visitors and families. The position involves a mix of reception, administrative coordination, and language support, with training available on internal attendance platforms as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome students, families, and visitors at the front desk and ensure they are assisted promptly and professionally.
• Provide Spanish-English interpretation for parents and staff during in-person interactions to support clear communication.
• Maintain accurate filing systems and organize administrative records for easy access and compliance.
• Handle inbound calls, route messages, and respond to routine inquiries with strong customer service.
• Prepare and edit documents using Microsoft Word and support general office correspondence through email.
• Operate standard office equipment, including copiers, to assist with everyday administrative tasks.
• Assist with attendance-related data entry and front office support using systems such as Frontline, with training provided as needed.
• Support school-site administrative activities Monday through Friday while helping keep office operations efficient and organized.
The salary range for this position is $18/hr to $19/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Qualifications:
• Fluency in both Spanish and English, with the ability to interpret clearly for parents and staff.• Previous experience in an administrative, receptionist, or front office support role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including clear and courteous phone and email etiquette.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and confidence using general office equipment such as copy machines.
• Ability to manage filing, record organization, and multiple daily tasks with attention to detail.
• Customer service experience and a detail-oriented, welcoming approach when interacting with the public.
• Willingness to learn attendance or school administration systems such as Frontline; familiarity with Skyward is a plus.
Compensation
