Human Resources (HR) Generalist
Responsibilities:
• Serve as a primary HR resource for employees and leaders by addressing routine questions, providing guidance, and supporting daily people operations.
• Coordinate employee onboarding and separation processes, including completion of documentation and maintenance of personnel files.
• Work closely with supervisors on attendance concerns, workplace issues, performance matters, and interpretation of company policies.
• Oversee adherence to California labor requirements related to pay practices, meal periods, rest breaks, and other wage-and-hour obligations.
• Review timekeeping records for accuracy, identify exceptions, and partner with management to correct missed punches, break issues, and related discrepancies.
• Assist with payroll support activities by researching and resolving issues tied to hours worked, time entries, and pay-related concerns.
• Communicate HR policies, procedures, and expectations clearly to employees and managers to promote consistency and compliance.
• Provide support for leave administration, benefits coordination, HR reporting, audits, and additional projects as business needs arise.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in an HR Generalist or closely related human resources role.• Working knowledge of employee relations practices and day-to-day HR administration.
• Strong understanding of California employment law, including wage-and-hour compliance and break requirements.
• Experience supporting onboarding activities, employee records management, and policy communication.
• Familiarity with benefits support, leave processes, and payroll or timekeeping coordination.
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and other systems used for employee data and HR operations.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of accuracy.
Compensation
