Area Sales Manager
We are looking for an Area Sales Manager to lead account growth efforts within our wholesale distribution business in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This role focuses on strengthening relationships with existing customers, expanding product adoption across assigned accounts, and identifying new revenue opportunities in the market. The ideal candidate brings a commercial mindset, strong coordination skills, and the ability to balance sales development with purchasing-related activities.
Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with current customers to support long-term business growth and account retention.
• Introduce additional product lines to existing accounts by identifying customer needs and presenting relevant solutions.
• Develop strategies to increase sales volume within the assigned territory through regular outreach and account planning.
• Coordinate purchase order activity accurately and ensure timely follow-through on customer and supplier requirements.
• Work closely with internal teams to align sales efforts with purchasing functions and day-to-day operational priorities.
• Monitor account performance, track sales activity, and recommend actions to improve revenue across established customers.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities that complement the existing client portfolio and product offering.
• Support merchant services and related commercial processes to help deliver a smooth customer experience.
Qualifications:
• Experience in sales, account management, or business development within wholesale distribution or a related industry.• Working knowledge of purchasing functions, purchase orders, and general purchasing activities.
• Ability to manage multiple customer accounts while identifying opportunities to expand product placement.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to coordinate effectively across sales and purchasing teams.
• Proficiency in tracking account activity and maintaining accurate commercial records.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing priorities independently.
Compensation
