Payroll Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in Woodbridge, NJ. This position supports high-volume payroll operations for a multi-location workforce and plays an important role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with sensitive information, and able to communicate clearly with both internal teams and external agencies.

Responsibilities:

• Support end-to-end payroll processing for multiple locations covering a workforce of more than 1,000 employees.

• Review and enter payroll updates, including earnings corrections, leave-related pay, and other compensation adjustments.

• Administer wage garnishments such as child support orders and coordinate with applicable agencies to maintain compliance.

• Perform payroll audits to verify accuracy, identify discrepancies, and help resolve payment issues before final processing.

• Print, scan, and organize payroll documents while maintaining accuracy during high-volume payroll cycles.

• Communicate with store personnel and external contacts to answer payroll-related questions and gather needed information.

• Use Excel functions such as VLOOKUPs and pivot tables to analyze payroll data and support reporting needs.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in payroll processing or payroll administration.

• Hands-on experience managing payroll adjustments and wage garnishment activity.

• Strong understanding of payroll procedures, accuracy standards, and confidentiality requirements.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with multiple deadlines.
