Marketing Specialist

Robert Half is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to identify a Marketing Coordinator to support business development, pursuit efforts, and strategic marketing initiatives. This role is responsible for developing compelling proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral while helping position the organization for growth in competitive markets. This role is hybrid in Austin, Tx. 

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Business Development Support

• Assist with the development of marketing materials, presentations, brochures, and other business development assets.
• Support strategic marketing initiatives and help promote the organization's services and capabilities.
• Collaborate with business development and communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand standards across all deliverables.
• Maintain marketing plans and contribute to ongoing growth and visibility initiatives.

Proposal & Pursuit Development

• Coordinate and support proposal development efforts from kickoff through submission.
• Draft, edit, and customize proposal content, qualifications packages, presentations, and pursuit materials.
• Conduct research on client opportunities, market trends, competitor activity, and company qualifications.
• Partner with creative teams to develop graphics, layouts, and visual content that enhance proposal effectiveness.
• Track proposal schedules, deliverables, and action items to ensure timely completion.

Content & Knowledge Management

• Maintain and update project profiles, staff resumes, qualifications statements, and other marketing resources.
• Organize and manage proposal content libraries and marketing databases.
• Support ongoing content development, editing, and quality assurance efforts.
• Respond to requests for company information, marketing materials, and research support.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience supporting proposals, business development, marketing, or pursuit efforts.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and content development skills.
• Experience creating client-facing proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in professional services, consulting, engineering, construction, architecture, or similar project-based industries is preferred.

• Proposal strategy and pursuit coordination experience.
• Graphic design and document layout expertise.
• Presentation coaching or interview preparation support.
• Experience managing content libraries, CRM systems, or marketing databases.
• Ability to translate technical information into compelling, client-focused messaging.
