Business Intelligence Developer

Robert Half is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to identify a Business Intelligence Developer (contract). In this role, you will design, build, and support reporting, analytics, and data solutions that drive business decision-making. This individual will develop scalable reporting processes, dashboards, and automated data solutions while partnering with stakeholders across the organization to deliver timely and accurate business insights. This role is hybrid in Austin, Tx. 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, data extracts, and analytical solutions using SQL and Microsoft data technologies.
• Create and optimize queries, views, stored procedures, and automated reporting processes.
• Build scalable data models, reporting frameworks, and business intelligence solutions to support organizational needs.
• Support and enhance production reporting environments, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Collaborate with development teams to establish BI standards, best practices, and process improvements.
• Ensure data quality, testing, and quality control procedures are followed throughout the development lifecycle.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting established deadlines.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, Data Analytics, or Information Systems.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including query development, optimization, and stored procedures.
• Advanced SQL programming skills.
• Experience supporting and maintaining enterprise reporting or business intelligence environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting data and reporting needs within financial services, lending, or other highly regulated industries.
• Familiarity with enterprise servicing, accounting, or transaction-processing platforms.
• Experience developing scalable reporting environments, data marts, and automated reporting solutions.
• Leadership experience mentoring team members or leading BI initiatives.
