Tax Preparer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Preparer to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for preparing a variety of tax returns, including Individual (1040), S Corporation (1120-S), Partnership (1065), and Trust/Estate (1041) returns. The ideal candidate thrives in a client-focused environment, enjoys solving complex tax issues, and is committed to delivering accurate and timely work.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for:
• Individuals (Form 1040)
• Partnerships (Form 1065)
• S Corporations (Form 1120-S)
• Trusts and Estates (Form 1041)
• Gather and analyze client financial information and supporting documentation.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and communicate recommendations to clients.
• Research tax issues and apply relevant federal and state tax regulations.
• Respond to client inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist clients in resolving tax notices and correspondence from taxing authorities.
• Ensure compliance with filing deadlines and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain organized and accurate client records and workpapers.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and client service delivery.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of tax preparation experience in a public accounting firm, tax practice, or similar environment.
• Experience preparing Individual, S Corporation, Partnership, and Trust tax returns.
• Drake Software preferred
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency with tax preparation software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines during busy tax seasons.
