Sr. Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Lead daily site operations for renovation, expansion, and ground-up commercial construction work, ensuring activities progress according to project plans and milestones.
• Coordinate project timelines, workforce activities, and trade sequencing to support efficient delivery and timely completion.
• Review drawings, shop submissions, and material documentation to confirm alignment with contract documents and installation requirements.
• Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance to verify workmanship, compliance, and adherence to project expectations.
• Apply hands-on construction knowledge in both field and office settings, including supporting carpentry-related work when project demands require it.
• Maintain a strong focus on jobsite safety and construction quality by identifying issues early and driving corrective action.
• Partner with inspectors, code officials, and other local authorities to facilitate required reviews, approvals, and occupancy-related processes.
• Track project spending and help control cost exposure by addressing field issues, coordinating changes, and minimizing overruns.
• Communicate clearly with clients, design professionals, vendors, and project teams to resolve conflicts and keep stakeholders informed.
• Build and sustain productive relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to support smooth project execution and long-term collaboration.
Qualifications:
• Experience directing day-to-day operations for commercial construction projects, including renovations, additions, and new construction.• Strong ability to organize planning, scheduling, and trade coordination across multiple phases of a project.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and related technical documents.
• Working knowledge of installation methods, materials, and quality expectations across a range of building trades.
• Ability to balance office-based project administration with active field leadership on the jobsite.
• Solid understanding of project safety practices, quality control processes, and inspection readiness.
• Effective interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to collaborate across clients, design teams, subcontractors, and coworkers.
• Awareness of project cost management principles and the ability to support efforts that keep work within budget.
Compensation
