SUMMARY:  

The Senior Systems Engineer role is to take a leadership role in delivering complex solutions to our numerous clients across a wide-spectrum of industries. This is achieved by providing platform, design, administration, support and training to our clients. The Senior Systems Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help install solutions on behalf of our customers while also helping to identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of their investment. Much of the Senior Systems Engineer’s focus and responsibilities will be conducted with OnBase and SalesForce.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Build enduring relationships with our customers.
  • Work as a member of a cross functional project team contributing to a technology-based solution, including providing support during the sales process and ultimately configuration and implementing the solution.
  • Own the technical components of proposed customer projects.
  • Research and understand customer requirements and design the optimal technical solution to address those requirements in a cost-effective manner.
  • Develop solutions primarily centered on installing, configuring, and customizing one to many modules of the ECM solution, mainly using OnBase.
  • Consult with customer resources regarding solution and software options based on functional requirements provided during discovery and engineering phases, offering guidance toward the optimal solution.
  • Develop system design and specification documents, administrative documentation, and/or user documentation as needed.
  • Handle technical and customer issues as they arise during implementations, escalating issues to other technical, business, or vendor resources as necessary.
  • As new systems are implemented, may be required to lead a team of engineers to complete all aspects of the project from design to implementation, including Business Process Analysis, Gap Analysis, Design and Discovery. Conducting client-facing Demonstrations and Prototype Reviews, capturing and implementing modifications and improvements to systems still in the configuration stage.
  • Perform system software upgrades including planning and scheduling, coordination and deploying.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of support issues as needed. Reply to help desk tickets in a timely manner, ensuring clients are satisfied with the response.
  • Stay abreast of new applications features and functionalities and provide recommendations for process or system improvements; Maintain and expand knowledge of relevant ECM solution modules and various integration tools and techniques as needed, with a particular focus on OnBase.
  • Responsible for providing recommendations for enhancements and modifications to improve internal and client-systems performance, operational efficiency, internal business process, and reporting.
  • Serve as the co-internal OnBase Administrator; work with colleagues to continually implement OnBase in various departments across the company. This includes testing and training of users.
  • Solve problems that arise with FileSolve’s OnBase system in a timely manner.
  • Acts as the SalesForce Administrator, working with colleagues to implement, support and expand the use of SalesForce internally. This includes supporting FinancialForce, WebMerge and other systems associated with the company’s Customer Relationship Management software.
  • Implement additional software solutions for clients as needed, including RFID systems in necessary.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Solid technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills; ability to develop creative solutions to configuration problems.
  • Very strong communicator, both written and verbal skills required.
  • Able to present complex systems and processes to a group, answer questions, and implement changes as needed.
  • Minimum eight years of experience (10 is preferred) developing, configuring , or administering Enterprise Content Management software, preferably OnBase.
  • Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products and knowledge and experience in application, infrastructure, and network security.
  • Understanding of RDBMS (SQL Server) database structure and queries.
  • Demonstrated experience in areas of design (resolve business problems via use of the software), configuration, implementation and ongoing customer support.
  • Good communication and problem solving skills; Ability to translate technical concepts to end users; and Experience in business process analysis and the ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting SalesForce and FinancialForce.

Certification Goals:

Any Hyland OnBase certifications already held are a plus. Hyland certifications most applicable to this position are: 

  • OnBase Certified Installer (OCI)
  • OnBase Certified Workflow Engineer (OCWE)
  • OnBase Certified Workview Engineer (OCWV)
  • SalesForce

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
