Lease Administration Manager

Compensation: $95 to $110 Yearly

We are looking for an experienced Lease Administration Manager to lead lease governance and portfolio oversight for a global commercial real estate environment in Kansas City, Missouri. This role will serve as a key resource for lease data integrity, contract compliance, and cross-functional coordination involving finance, project teams, landlords, and external partners. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial lease knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to guide both day-to-day administration and more complex transactional reviews.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the administration and ongoing accuracy of the global lease portfolio within CoStar Real Estate Manager, ensuring records remain complete, current, and reliable.
• Evaluate and approve lease abstracts and payment schedules prepared by the lease administration team, confirming alignment with applicable accounting requirements, including ASC 842, in partnership with finance stakeholders.
• Direct the organization and retention of lease files, notices, amendments, and correspondence with landlords, vendors, and other third parties.
• Supervise lease administration staff by assigning work, reviewing deliverables, and coaching team members to maintain high-quality execution.
• Advise project and operational teams on lease language, obligations, and potential impacts related to site activity, construction matters, and occupancy decisions.
• Communicate key lease provisions and critical dates to internal and external stakeholders to support effective planning across the company’s commercial real estate portfolio.
• Conduct detailed lease due diligence and document reviews for transactions, audits, and other risk-assessment activities.
• Make informed recommendations based on contractual commitments and legal obligations tied to lease agreements and vendor arrangements.
• Monitor compliance with lease and contract terms, helping ensure the company fulfills its responsibilities and addresses issues proactively.
• Partner with accounting and finance teams on special initiatives, reporting needs, and lease-related analysis as required.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience managing commercial lease administration within a corporate real estate environment.
• Strong understanding of lease abstracts, rent schedules, renewals, and critical lease terms across a diverse portfolio.
• Working knowledge of lease accounting standards, including ASC 842, and the ability to collaborate effectively with accounting teams.
• Experience using lease management systems such as CoStar Real Estate Manager or comparable platforms.
• Ability to interpret lease contracts and provide practical guidance to business, project, and operational stakeholders.
• Proven leadership skills with experience reviewing team output, setting priorities, and providing constructive feedback.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities, with careful attention to document control, compliance, and contractual detail.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with landlords, vendors, internal departments, and external partners.

Compensation

$95,000.00-$110,000.00 Yearly
