Accounting Specialist

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to support daily financial operations for a growing organization in Fortville, Indiana. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-focused, and confident handling both incoming and outgoing transactions with accuracy. The role will contribute to smooth accounting workflows by maintaining reliable records, processing invoices, and assisting with routine clerical finance tasks.

Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices, verify supporting details, and prepare payments in a timely and accurate manner
• Record customer payments, monitor outstanding balances, and help maintain current accounts receivable records
• Enter financial information into accounting systems with a high level of precision and consistency
• Reconcile account activity and investigate discrepancies to support accurate month-to-month reporting
• Maintain organized documentation for invoices, payment records, and related accounting files
• Assist with QuickBooks data management, including transaction entry and record updates
• Communicate with internal teams and external contacts to resolve billing or payment questions efficiently

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting accounting operations in an accounts payable, accounts receivable, or accounting clerk capacity
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks and comfort navigating accounting software on a daily basis
• Strong data entry skills with close attention to detail and accuracy
• Familiarity with invoice processing procedures and basic financial recordkeeping practices
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with standard office software and general administrative tools
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for handling billing and payment inquiries professionally

Compensation

$50,000.00-$54,000.00 Yearly
