Receptionist

We are looking for a detail-oriented and welcoming Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations for a contract position based in Fremont, California. This role is ideal for someone with at least one year of experience handling incoming calls, greeting visitors, and keeping reception activities organized in a fast-paced office setting. The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for callers and guests while helping maintain smooth communication across the workplace.

Responsibilities:
• Welcome visitors, provide a positive first impression, and direct guests to the appropriate staff or department
• Manage a multi-line phone system by answering, screening, and routing inbound calls accurately and efficiently
• Respond to general inquiries in a courteous and timely manner, taking clear messages when needed
• Maintain the reception area so it remains tidy, well organized, and ready for daily business activities
• Support routine front-desk administrative tasks such as monitoring visitor flow and assisting with basic office coordination
• Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure calls and guest requests are handled promptly
• Follow established office procedures for receiving visitors and managing incoming communications

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in a receptionist or front-desk support role
• Demonstrated ability to operate a multi-line or switchboard phone system handling up to 10 lines
• Strong verbal communication skills with a courteous and friendly phone manner
• Experience answering and directing inbound calls in a busy office environment
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work effectively in a part-time schedule
• Basic administrative and customer service skills in a detail-focused setting

Compensation

$19.79-$22.91 Hourly
