Accounting Analyst

As an Accounting Analyst your responsibilities will include but aren’t limited to:

• Lead support for the monthly close cycle and prepare timely financial reports for leadership review.

• Perform recurring reconciliations across key accounts to help ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.

• Assist with invoice handling and related accounting documentation to support efficient payment processing.

• Contribute to payroll-related activities, including reporting and coordination of required accounting entries.

• Review balance sheet support and post journal entries in alignment with established accounting practices.

• Produce regular accounting summaries and distribute reporting to appropriate stakeholders.

• Analyze monthly financial results, identify unusual trends or discrepancies, and communicate findings to finance leadership.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and broader financial planning and analysis efforts as needed.

• Help maintain internal controls and consistent procedures that reduce reporting errors and strengthen compliance.

Qualifications:

The ideal Accounting Analyst will have:

• At least 3 years of experience in an accounting department or similar finance-focused environment.

• Working knowledge of U.S. accounting principles as well as payroll rules, regulations, and related practices.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly.

• Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage priorities in a fast-paced setting.

• Solid analytical and critical thinking skills for reviewing, interpreting, and applying financial documentation.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Microsoft Edge, and Adobe Acrobat.

• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

• Experience with accounting and business systems such as ERP platforms, ADP, Ceridian, Concur, and tools supporting AP, AR, auditing, and billing functions.
