Project Coordinator

Compensation: $23.75 to $27 Hourly

Job Summary:

Our client, a growing cabinetry and construction business, is seeking a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused entry level Project Coordinator for a 2–3 month contract opportunity with strong potential for permanent hire based on performance and business needs. This role is ideal for someone with experience in retail, customer service, building materials, home improvement, shipping and receiving, or sales support who is looking to grow within the cabinetry and construction industry. The right candidate will be eager to learn estimating, assist with shipping and receiving, support sales activities, and help coordinate day-to-day project needs. A background in a high-volume home improvement, hardware, lumber, or building materials environment would translate well into this opportunity.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project coordination activities from customer inquiry through order fulfillment
  • Learn and assist with estimating, including material takeoffs, pricing, and quote preparation
  • Provide sales support by assisting customers with product information, order details, and follow-up communication
  • Communicate with customers regarding cabinetry, materials, product availability, and order updates
  • Assist with shipping and receiving, including checking inbound materials and preparing outbound orders
  • Coordinate deliveries, pickups, and order readiness with internal teams and customers
  • Track project details, materials, and order information to help ensure timelines are met
  • Work closely with office, warehouse, shop, and sales staff to support daily operations
  • Help organize inventory, supplies, and related documentation
  • Maintain accurate records for estimates, orders, deliveries, and customer communications
  • Deliver strong customer service in person, by phone, and through email
  • Learn company products, materials, and internal processes to become a valuable support resource across departments

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in retail, customer service, building materials, warehouse support, shipping/receiving, sales support, or construction-related environments preferred
  • Experience in cabinetry, millwork, lumber, hardware, home improvement, or contractor supply is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer-service oriented with a professional and dependable attitude
  • Comfortable working in a role that combines office support, customer interaction, and operational duties
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills, including email and order/data entry
  • Willingness to learn estimating, project coordination, and sales support functions
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Ideal Candidate:

  • Comes from a background similar to Home Depot, Lowe’s, contractor supply, lumber yard, or another customer-facing building materials environment
  • Enjoys helping customers and learning products/materials
  • Interested in developing skills in estimating, shipping/receiving, sales support, and project coordination
  • Reliable, hands-on, and eager to grow with a company
  • Works well with customers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Interested in a long-term opportunity within the cabinetry and construction industry



Compensation

$23.75-$27.00 Hourly
