Bookkeeper

The numbers don't have to be complicated — they just have to be right.

A growing e-commerce and distribution company in Vista is looking for a Bookkeeper to take ownership of its day-to-day financial activity. This is a great role for someone who likes variety and wants to work across AP, AR, reconciliations, invoicing, and general ledger support rather than being stuck in one accounting function.

Current North County listings show multiple bookkeeping opportunities in Vista, including contract and contract-to-hire positions, making this a particularly useful title to have in your recruiting mix.

What you'll own

• Record daily financial transactions
• Maintain accurate general ledger activity
• Handle day-to-day AP and AR transactions
• Prepare customer invoices and track payments
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Maintain vendor and customer records
• Assist with journal entries and month-end close
• Track expenses and supporting documentation
• Research discrepancies and correct account activity
• Prepare recurring financial reports
• Assist with payroll-related accounting tasks
• Support year-end and audit preparation

Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar software
• Solid Excel skills
• Comfortable handling both AP and AR
• Excellent attention to detail
• Able to work independently and manage competing deadlines
• E-commerce, distribution, manufacturing, or small-business experience is a plus
