Accounts Receivable Specialist
Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage high-volume business-to-business collections through outbound phone calls and email outreach
- Contact customers regarding past-due balances and secure payment commitments
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, and account issues
- Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on account status
- Document all collection activity, customer communication, and payment arrangements accurately
- Reconcile customer accounts and maintain up-to-date account notes
- Work closely with internal departments, including billing, customer service, and sales, to resolve outstanding issues
- Support cash application and other accounts receivable functions as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of accounts receivable and/or collections experience
- Experience with high-volume collections activity required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle collections professionally and effectively
- Comfortable making a large number of outbound calls and sending follow-up emails daily
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems
Compensation
