Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist for a contract-to-permanent opportunity. This role is ideal for someone with strong collections experience who is comfortable managing a high volume of outbound collection activity through both phone and email communication.The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for following up on past-due accounts, resolving payment discrepancies, maintaining accurate account records, and partnering with internal teams to support timely payment collection. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, persistent, customer-service oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage high-volume business-to-business collections through outbound phone calls and email outreach
• Contact customers regarding past-due balances and secure payment commitments
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, and account issues
• Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on account status
• Document all collection activity, customer communication, and payment arrangements accurately
• Reconcile customer accounts and maintain up-to-date account notes
• Work closely with internal departments, including billing, customer service, and sales, to resolve outstanding issues
• Support cash application and other accounts receivable functions as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of accounts receivable and/or collections experience
• Experience with high-volume collections activity required
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle collections professionally and effectively
• Comfortable making a large number of outbound calls and sending follow-up emails daily
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems

Compensation

$21.00-$23.00 Hourly
