The TerraPower Isotopes (TPI) division has been established to pursue medical isotopes development--advancing nuclear science for significant human health benefits. We seek to support revolutionary radiotherapies for treatments of various cancers through the supply of radioisotopes. TerraPower currently has unique access to a supply of thorium for the long-term production of actinium-225 in the growing alpha therapy market and intends to expand into other nuclear related medical treatments.

Technical Information Architecture Systems Administrator

The Technical Information Architecture Systems Administrator reports to the Operations Program Manager and is responsible for building the structure, systems, and organizational capabilities necessary for the development, revision, control, and maintenance of TPI documents, records, and technical information. The position will initially focus on establishing and administering documentation and information-management programs within Operations, with the expectation that the role will develop into broader leadership of cross-functional technical programs as the organization and its systems mature.

The Technical Information Architecture Systems Administrator serves a key coordination role across many disciplines within the TPI umbrella. The successful Administrator will bring solid technical acumen and leadership skills in working with accomplished scientific and engineering teams in a dynamic (start-up) environment in a growing radiopharmaceutical industry. Success requires effective communication, organization, technical writing, sound judgment, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Information Management and Program Leadership

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, operations personnel, and quality professionals in defining requirements, establishing work plans, resolving interfaces, and delivering complex documentation and information-management initiatives.
  • Develop sufficient understanding of technical processes, systems, and organizational interfaces to identify gaps, dependencies, conflicting requirements, and potential implementation risks.
  • Facilitate technical and programmatic discussions, ensuring decisions, assumptions, requirements, interfaces, and resulting actions are clearly documented and driven to closure.
  • Establish program structuresincluding scope, priorities, schedules, responsibilities, dependencies, metrics, and management reportingfor complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Apply systems-thinking principles to improve how technical information is created, organized, controlled, communicated, retrieved, and used throughout the organization.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to improve knowledge management, technical documentation, workflow automation, information retrieval, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Design and consistently improve the systems, standards, and workflows used to organize and manage documentation and information beginning with TPI Operations and expanding across TPI departments.
  • Build teams and lead cross-functional efforts to implement and sustain effective use of SharePoint, Confluence, Jira, and applicable document-management and quality platforms across Operations.

Document Control and Lifecycle Management

  • Drive Operations document lifecycle from initiation through review, approval, implementation, revision, and retirement, working cross-functionally with authors, subject matter experts, reviewers, and approvers. Maintain visibility of documents at the various stages of the lifecycle.
  • Maintain visibility and accountability for document priorities, assigned actions, dependencies, due dates, approvals, and implementation requirements, and drive actions to completion.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to develop, reorganize, and standardize Operations procedures, forms, and related documentation to improve clarity, usability, consistency, and alignment with applicable quality requirements.
  • Work with subject matter experts and functional teams to translate technical and operational needs into effective documentation solutions, using available tools and technologies to improve efficiency and document quality.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in a technical, scientific, knowledge management or related field.
  • Three or more years of progressively responsible experience in technical program coordination, engineering or scientific operations, information management, document systems, project management, procedure development, or another function requiring organization of complex technical work.
  • Experience in a regulated, quality-controlled, or similarly structured environment with a clear understanding of controlled-document lifecycles, revision and version control, records retention, and good documentation practices is preferred. cGMP experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly understand complex scientific, engineering, manufacturing, or operational subject matter and organize that information into logical systems, plans, requirements, or documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive technically complex activities to completion, including situations where the position does not have direct supervisory authority over team members.
  • Strong systems-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to recognize relationships among technical requirements, processes, organizations, information, and supporting systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with highly accomplished scientists, engineers, and technical specialists; ask thoughtful questions; challenge assumptions constructively; and facilitate resolution of differing technical perspectives.
  • Strong organizational and program-management capability, including establishing priorities, defining responsibilities, managing interfaces and dependencies, tracking commitments, and communicating status and risks to management.
  • High technical aptitude and demonstrated curiosity regarding new technologies, software platforms, automation, artificial intelligence, and information-management methods.
  • Strong technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills, including the ability to identify apparent inconsistencies, conflicts, or missing information in technical material.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively apply emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude, to technical documentation, information organization, workflow improvement, research, analysis, and knowledge management
  • Strong project management mindset to manage multiple document workflows, track actions and due dates, and drive activities to completion.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and SharePoint. Experience with Confluence, Jira, electronic document-management systems, or quality-management systems is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, maintain accurate records, and handle controlled or sensitive information appropriately.
  • Military experience is a plus.

Job details

Salary Range: $116,852 - $151,757

*Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected individuals qualifications experience. This range is specific to Washington State.
