Environmental Technician
We are seeking to place an Environmental Technician to support Fence-to-Fence tasks at Patrick Space Force Base. This role will predominately support Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Material management tasks but will assist with other tasks as necessary.
TASKS INCLUDE:
- Organize and implement the Patrick Space Force Base Fence-To-Fence programs that are assigned to this position.
- Monitor warehouse practices, inventory stock control procedures, document processing, material handling equipment, and receiving.
- Perform data collection, organization, and presentation
- Perform shop/unit level environmental compliance audits/inspections
- Complete compliance audit/inspection reports with follow up as required
- Assist with the management, scheduling and execution of audits/inspections.
- Review documents for technical adequacy and assist with technical manuals.
- Provide technical expertise to assigned tasks/projects.
- Conduct research, or other field work, as assigned.
- Attend, participate, organize, and/or facilitate meetings as requested by the base customer.
- Other duties as assigned by TO/Project Manager and/or base client.
- Drive on behalf of AGEISS business.
- Some travel may be required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental engineering, sciences, or other related area.
- 3 years of experience in compliance, restoration or other related support.
- Experience working on DoD environmental programs/projects.
- Professional environmental registration or certification a plus.
- Working knowledge of environmental compliance, remediation, regulations, and regulatory agencies.
- Individuals already possessing an adjudicated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) are preferred.
- Ability to successfully pass a Federal agency background check is required.
- Possess a working knowledge of other Federal environmental statutes and State-specific regulations such as each State Environmental Protection Act and the State Administrative Code, local regulations and statutes, as well as AF and/or DoD environmental regulations and documentation.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and proficiency with MS Office applications (Word and Excel) is required.
