About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Capital Markets Middle Office Associate to join our EMEA Middle Office team in Dublin.
This role sits within a high-performing cross asset-class Middle Office function supporting Front Office trading and sales teams across Rates, FX, Credit, Repo, and Treasury products. The team plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate execution, validation, enrichment, settlement readiness, and reporting of trading activity while maintaining a strong control environment.
As a key partner to Front Office, Risk, Finance, Compliance, Technology, and Operations teams, you will help manage operational risk, drive process improvements, and support strategic initiatives across a global operating model. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to gain broad exposure across capital markets products while contributing to a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will:
Provide comprehensive trade support to trading and sales teams across multiple asset classes, ensuring activities are processed accurately and in accordance with established controls.
Validate and enrich trade activity to ensure timely settlement and reporting.
Produce and analyse intraday risk and P&L reporting, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Monitor trading exception reports, operational queues, and trade-related issues to ensure timely resolution.
Support front-to-back trade lifecycle processes, including reconciliations, settlements, payments, liquidity management, and funding activities.
Partner with Risk, Product Control, Technology, and Operations teams to resolve exceptions and strengthen operational controls.
Participate in system enhancements, testing initiatives, and strategic projects that improve efficiency and scalability.
Maintain and enhance governance documentation, procedures, and operational controls.
Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to support change initiatives and process improvements.
Identify operational issues, perform root cause analysis, and escalate matters appropriately.
Contribute to a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement, transparency, and effective risk management.
Required Qualifications:
Middle Office experience supporting FX, Rates, Fixed Income Securities, Repo, Treasury, or OTC Derivatives products.
Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle and associated operational processes.
Knowledge of settlement practices and market infrastructure, including DTC, Euroclear, Fedwire, and Clearstream.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively across multiple regions and business functions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large datasets.
Ability to perform in a fast-paced trading environment while meeting critical deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a robust control framework.
Proven ability to take ownership of issues, drive initiatives to completion, and deliver results.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to building strong working relationships across teams.
