Major/Essential Functions
- Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, hospitals, and clinical facilities.
- Enters, updates and maintains data from provider applications into the credentialing database, focusing on accuracy and interpreting or adapting data to conform to defined data field uses, and in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
- Monitors files to ensure completeness and accuracy; reviews all file documentation for compliance with quality standards, accreditation requirements, and all other relevant policies; prepares and provides information to internal and external customers as appropriate.
- Communicates clearly with providers, their liaisons, entity Medical Staff Affairs. medical staff leadership and Administration, as needed.
- Schedules travel for site visits including booking flights and hotels, creating travel itineraries and submitting reimbursements.
- Orders office supplies, processes purchase orders and completes invoicing process.
- Maintains and updates databases for potential and past candidates.
- Maintains and updates advertising dates with documentation of postings.
- Schedules meetings on behalf of the Department, prepares meeting materials and minutes as needed.
- Assists with various other daily operations, including onsite visits.
- Ensures attention to detail as per the policies and procedures of the office, school and institution.
Occasional Duties
- Assigned as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years related experience;
- OR a combination of education and/or progressively responsible related experience to equal six (6) years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an Academic or Medical Setting
- Experience in Hospital or Clinic Credentialing
- Experience in Expense Reimbursement
