Supports the program director by performing administrative duties related to planning, directing and coordinating both the academic and operational activities of the program.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Adheres to TTUHSC and office operating policies and procedures.
  • Assist in meeting the Joint Accreditation defined Educational Leadership criterion by partaking in continuous professional development relevant to CME/CPD enterprise.
  • Serves as a representative of the office at the Odessa campus.
  • Ensure timely communication and reporting of regional CME activities to the Lubbock campus.
  • Implements educational activities at the regional campus using an interprofessional approach that addresses a defined professional practice gap. Follows the processes and standards set by the Lubbock campus to ensure compliance with Joint Accreditation criteria. Collaborates with course directors, planners, and presenters while maintaining regular communication with the Lubbock office to ensure consistency in educational design, documentation, and delivery.
  • Prepares and maintains all required activity documentation and departmental records in compliance with institutional and accreditation standards. Ensures that forms, disclosures, evaluations, and supporting materials are completed accurately and submitted to the Lubbock campus within established deadlines.
  • Manages on-site logistics for Odessa-based accredited continuing education activities. Oversees room setup, audiovisual support, materials preparation, and on-site execution to ensure a professional and compliant learning environment.
  • Concludes educational activities at the Odessa campus in accordance with the fiscal, documentation, and reporting processes established by the Lubbock CME office. Responsible for completing financial closeout, evaluation summaries, and final CME Tracker entry.
  • Supports identification and assessment of continuing education needs for institutional departments at the Odessa campus, in alignment with processes established by the Lubbock CME office. Collaborates with local faculty and staff to gather input on educational gaps and communicates findings to the Lubbock team for activity planning and documentation.
  • Implements outcomes measurement strategies for Odessa-based continuing education activities using survey tools and evaluation methods developed or approved by the Lubbock CME office. Collaborates with Lubbock staff to ensure consistency, compliance, and meaningful data collection.
  • Supports the maintenance of CloudCME and related reporting requirements for Odessa-based educational activities. Follows protocols established by the Lubbock CME office for data entry, evaluation tracking, and activity credit documentation to ensure alignment with Joint Accreditation and institutional standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the operations of the Odessa campus in coordination with the Lubbock CME office.


Required Qualifications

  • High school plus six years experience in related field.
  • Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, healthcare, communications, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting accredited continuing education for healthcare professionals.
  • Understanding of Joint Accreditation standards and interprofessional education.
  • Experience with event planning, activity documentation, and working in a compliance-driven environment.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining close coordination with a central office. Comfort with virtual collaboration tools and data tracking systems such as CloudCME
