Staff Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant. This position supports core accounting operations across payables, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance activities while helping maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in accounting practices, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the monthly close process by preparing account analyses and assisting with the creation of accurate financial reports.
• Oversee accounts payable activities, including reviewing invoices, coordinating timely payments, and reconciling vendor balances.
• Complete regular bank reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure cash activity is recorded correctly.
• Support employee expense administration by reviewing submissions, processing reimbursements, and monitoring payment accuracy.
• Prepare audit support materials and organize financial documentation needed for annual review procedures.
• Assist with year-end reporting tasks, including compiling information required for 1099 preparation and related tax documentation.
• Maintain orderly and up-to-date accounting records to support internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Handle general ledger and other day-to-day accounting assignments as needed to support the finance team.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 1 year of accounting experience, with exposure to accounts payable responsibilities preferred.
• Working knowledge of core accounting principles and standard financial processes.
• Experience with expense management, vendor coordination, and general ledger activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort using web-based accounting or financial systems.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Compensation
