Logistics Coordinator
Responsibilities:
• Process transportation orders accurately across internal platforms and communication channels while keeping shipment records current.
• Oversee daily shipment activity from initial acceptance through final delivery, providing timely status updates to customers and stakeholders.
• Investigate service disruptions such as delays, route changes, damaged freight, shortages, or equipment problems and coordinate appropriate solutions.
• Work closely with internal departments including sales, pricing, accounting, and planning to support efficient load movement and service execution.
• Research available transportation options, evaluate capacity needs, and assist with rate-related decisions to support customer requirements.
• Review billing issues, help reconcile invoice differences, and coordinate approvals for additional transportation-related charges.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation for customer accounts, shipment details, and operational records.
• Support onboarding activities for new customers by organizing service requirements and helping establish smooth operating procedures.
• Build strong working relationships with customers by responding professionally, addressing concerns promptly, and identifying ways to support ongoing business needs.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, railroad operations, customer service, order management, or a related field.• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks at once while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
• High attention to detail with dependable follow-through on shipment updates, documentation, and issue resolution.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel, along with strong data entry skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, service demands, and customer expectations.
• High school diploma required; additional education in business, supply chain, transportation, or a related discipline is a plus.
• Experience in the transportation industry, including shipping, distribution, customs, or rail-related environments, is preferred.
