Sr. Financial Analyst

Compensation: $100 to $120 Yearly

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst to support strategic and operational decision-making within our manufacturing organization in Durham, North Carolina. This role focuses on interpreting financial performance, building robust analytical models, and delivering insights that improve planning accuracy and business outcomes. The ideal candidate brings strong quantitative skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations for leadership.


Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain financial models that support budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and long-range planning initiatives.

• Evaluate monthly and quarterly results by identifying trends, explaining performance gaps, and presenting meaningful variance insights to stakeholders.

• Perform in-depth financial analysis to guide business decisions, highlight risks, and uncover opportunities to improve operational and financial performance.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather data, validate assumptions, and produce analysis that supports company objectives.

• Prepare recurring and on-demand reports for leadership, translating large data sets into concise and actionable findings.

• Use data mining techniques to extract, organize, and interpret information from multiple sources for business and financial evaluation.

• Support ad hoc analytical projects by assessing cost drivers, scenario outcomes, and the financial impact of business initiatives.

• Recommend process improvements that enhance reporting accuracy, analytical efficiency, and overall financial visibility.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in financial analysis within a corporate or manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling and the ability to build clear, reliable forecasting tools.
• Proven skill in variance analysis, including the ability to explain performance differences and underlying drivers.
• Experience conducting ad hoc financial analysis to support leadership decisions and evolving business needs.
• Solid analytical capability with data mining techniques and the ability to work with large, complex data sets.
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with financial reporting systems and analytical tools.

Compensation

$100,000.00-$120,000.00 Yearly
