Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support accounting operations for role onsite in Franklin, Tennessee. This position will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the month-end close process across multiple locations, and strengthening balance sheet integrity. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger expertise, sound judgment in handling reconciliations and accruals, and the ability to step into an active environment with minimal ramp-up time.

Responsibilities:

• Drive month-end close activities for a multi-location environment, helping ensure deadlines are met and financial results are recorded accurately.

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and other recurring or adjusting entries tied to close activities.

• Reconcile contracts and key general ledger accounts, investigating variances and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Maintain schedules for prepaid expenses and fixed assets, ensuring proper capitalization, amortization, and ongoing accuracy of records.

• Build and review balance sheet support to confirm account accuracy and strengthen overall financial reporting.

• Allocate expenses across entities or facilities, with particular attention to shared costs such as insurance.

• Perform account cleanup and organize historical accounting data to improve the reliability of the ledger.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to support day-to-day accounting needs within an onsite, hands-on operating environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a Senior Accountant or similar accounting role with substantial general ledger responsibility.

• Strong background in month-end close, journal entry preparation, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Experience managing prepaids, fixed assets, and account analysis in a complex accounting environment.

• Ability to identify inconsistencies in financial data and carry out cleanup or corrective accounting work effectively.

• Working knowledge of contract reconciliations, expense allocations, and bank or account reconciliation processes.

• Proficiency with accounting systems; experience with Intacct is preferred.

• Comfortable working fully onsite in Franklin, Tennessee
