Part Time Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for a part-time Accounts Payable Specialist to join a team in West Los Angeles on a contract basis. This position supports day-to-day payment operations by ensuring invoices are processed accurately, vendor obligations are handled on time, and financial records remain well organized. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, confidence working with payment processes, and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced accounting environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review incoming invoices, assign the correct accounting codes, and prepare them for timely processing.

• Manage accounts payable activities by verifying payment details and maintaining accurate transaction records.

• Process ACH payments and support scheduled disbursements in accordance with established deadlines.

• Coordinate check run activities, including preparing payment batches and confirming supporting documentation.

• Reconcile payable records to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and help maintain clean financial data.

• Communicate with internal teams and vendors to address invoice questions, payment status updates, and documentation needs

Qualifications:

• Experience handling full-cycle accounts payable functions in an accounting environment.
• Working knowledge of invoice coding and account allocation practices.
• Familiarity with ACH payment processing and check disbursement procedures.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high volumes of financial transactions accurately.
• Proficiency using accounting systems and standard office software for payment tracking and record maintenance.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Compensation

$28.00-$30.00 Hourly
