Accounting Manager

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to support a publicly traded organization in Los Angeles, California. This Long-term Contract opportunity is focused on U.S. general ledger operations and will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records across a multi-entity environment. The ideal candidate brings strong month-end close expertise, advanced Excel skills, and hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion in a fast-paced accounting setting. (There is a one day per week onsite requirement for this opportunity.)

Responsibilities:

• Manage core general ledger activities for U.S. operations, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions across numerous entities and accounts.

• Prepare and post journal entries, compile supporting schedules, and organize detailed workbooks to support recurring accounting processes.

• Perform month-end close tasks within a compressed reporting timeline, including balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and reporting support.

• Reconcile a high volume of general ledger and balance sheet accounts through Oracle Fusion, including bank-related reconciliations and other key account reviews.

• Oversee fixed asset accounting activities by maintaining depreciation calculations, roll-forward schedules, and related ledger reporting.

• Build and maintain amortization and other accounting schedules in Excel using functions such as VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.

• Prepare audit-ready documentation, respond to support requests, and complete required sign-offs for ongoing internal and external audit activity.

• Assist with quarterly reporting support by drafting financial statement footnote content and preparing underlying accounting documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including substantial general ledger responsibility.
• Demonstrated background managing month-end close and preparing journal entries in a multi-entity environment.
• Strong experience with account reconciliations, balance sheet analysis, and audit support.
• Hands-on proficiency with Oracle Fusion, preferably in a cloud-based accounting environment.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs; macro expertise is not required.
• Familiarity with fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and amortization tracking.
• Experience supporting publicly traded companies or SEC-related reporting processes is preferred.

Compensation

$65.00-$75.00 Hourly
