Dispatcher

We are looking for a Dispatcher to support facility maintenance operations from our California location within the energy industry. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who can manage service activity in a fast-moving environment while keeping communication, scheduling, and documentation organized and accurate. The person in this role will help coordinate technicians and outside vendors, monitor open maintenance issues through completion, and provide operational updates that support timely business decisions.

Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain recurring maintenance calendars covering daily, weekly, monthly, and annual service activity.
• Coordinate the deployment of internal technicians, third-party vendors, equipment, and required services to address site needs efficiently.
• Monitor active service requests, repair work, upgrades, and related maintenance issues to ensure prompt resolution and closeout.
• Keep site service histories and equipment documentation current, accurate, and accessible for operational use.
• Review service priorities and direct requests according to urgency so response times align with business needs.
• Order necessary parts and help confirm that warranty claims, approvals, invoicing, and core returns are completed correctly.
• Support inventory control efforts for technician vehicles by assisting with scheduled audits and material tracking.
• Help arrange technician certification schedules and assist with collecting quotes or proposals for repair-versus-replacement evaluations.
• Prepare timely reports and process departmental records such as invoices, timesheets, inspection documents, and proposals.
• Track performance indicators for vendors and maintenance staff while assisting with additional operational projects assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of relevant experience, with 2 to 3 years of dispatching or service coordination experience strongly preferred.
• Background in dispatching, logistics coordination, or service scheduling within a fast-paced operational setting.
• Strong customer service mindset with the ability to balance business priorities and service expectations.
• Good judgment and confidence in making sound decisions when handling changing service demands.
• Excellent organizational skills, strong time management, and close attention to detail.
• Dependable work habits, including punctuality, professionalism, and a high level of integrity.
• Proficiency with standard computer systems, business software, and mobile applications used for coordination and reporting.

Compensation

$22.80-$26.40 Hourly
