Medical Receptionist
We are looking for a dependable part-time Medical Receptionist to support daily front office operations. This contract position is onsite and offers the opportunity to contribute to a patient-centered environment that serves children, adolescents, adults, and families. The individual in this role will help keep administrative workflows organized while providing courteous assistance to patients, visitors, and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome patients and visitors, manage front desk activity, and create a welcoming first impression for everyone entering the office.
• Schedule appointments, update calendars, and coordinate patient check-in processes to keep daily operations running smoothly.
• Answer incoming calls, respond to routine questions, and direct inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member.
• Enter and maintain accurate information in internal systems to support reporting and administrative needs across multiple departments.
• Verify insurance details, collect required payments, and assist with routine documentation related to patient visits.
• Provide backup coverage for front desk coordination duties when needed to maintain consistent office support.
• Monitor reception area workflow, handle general administrative tasks, and help ensure records are organized and up to date.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a medical front office, reception, or similar patient-facing administrative role.• Working knowledge of patient scheduling, check-in procedures, and general receptionist responsibilities.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology and standard healthcare office practices.
• Ability to perform data entry tasks accurately and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Experience answering high-volume inbound calls in a detail-focused and service-oriented manner.
• Comfortable collecting payments and supporting basic insurance verification activities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients, visitors, and clinical staff.
Compensation
