In House Counsel
Responsibilities:
• Provide legal guidance on commercial matters and partner with internal teams to support day-to-day business operations.
• Prepare, review, and revise a variety of contracts to help protect company interests and align agreements with business goals.
• Lead contract discussions with customers, vendors, and other external parties to reach balanced and effective terms.
• Advise on corporate legal issues, including governance considerations and general business law matters.
• Support compliance efforts by interpreting legal obligations and recommending actions to address regulatory requirements.
• Assess legal and operational risk related to contracts, policies, and business activities, and propose practical mitigation strategies.
• Manage dispute-related matters by coordinating legal strategy, evaluating exposure, and supporting resolution efforts when conflicts arise.
• Provide counsel on employment-related legal issues and help ensure workplace practices are consistent with applicable laws.
Qualifications:
• Active license to practice law and ability to serve in an in-house legal capacity.• Demonstrated experience handling commercial contracts, including drafting, review, and negotiation.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, compliance, and regulatory obligations affecting business operations.
• Ability to identify legal risk and provide clear, business-oriented recommendations for risk reduction.
• Experience supporting dispute resolution matters, commercial litigation, or related legal proceedings.
• Working knowledge of employment law and its application within a corporate environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
Compensation
