Program Manager
We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to support audit and compliance initiatives in Chicago, Illinois. This Long-term Contract position will focus on coordinating internal audit activities, strengthening documentation practices, and helping teams maintain readiness for regulatory and organizational requirements. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in compliance oversight, works effectively across technical and business functions, and is comfortable using tools such as Atlassian Jira and Cisco technologies in a structured program environment.
Responsibilities:
• Lead program activities related to audit preparedness, compliance tracking, and follow-through on identified actions across cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate internal audit efforts by organizing timelines, gathering supporting documentation, and ensuring stakeholders meet key deliverables.
• Monitor compliance-related workstreams and provide clear status updates, risk visibility, and issue escalation when needed.
• Use Atlassian Jira to manage tasks, document progress, and maintain transparency across program milestones and audit requirements.
• Partner with teams working with Cisco technologies to align operational practices with established compliance and control standards.
• Support retirement benefits-related oversight by helping maintain accurate records, process documentation, and audit-ready materials.
• Review existing controls and workflows to identify gaps, recommend improvements, and promote consistent adherence to policies.
• Facilitate meetings with business and technical stakeholders to drive accountability, resolve blockers, and keep initiatives on schedule.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience managing programs or consulting engagements involving audit, compliance, or internal control environments.• Strong working knowledge of internal audit processes, compliance frameworks, and documentation best practices.
• Hands-on experience using Atlassian Jira for tracking work, maintaining records, and reporting progress.
• Familiarity with Cisco technologies and the ability to coordinate with technical teams in a compliance-focused setting.
• Understanding of retirement benefits processes or related regulated business functions.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills in complex project environments.
• Ability to analyze issues, prioritize competing demands, and drive initiatives with minimal supervision.
Compensation
