Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant to join a real estate property and facilities management organization in Los Angeles, California. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who brings strong accounting experience and can provide reliable support across receivables, reconciliations, and daily financial operations. The person in this role will help maintain accurate records, strengthen accounting workflows, and contribute to a stable long-term team environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage a portfolio of approximately 30 to 35 accounts receivable balances and follow through on billing, payment tracking, and collection activities.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure cash activity is recorded accurately and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Review and reconcile corporate credit card transactions, confirming proper coding, documentation, and posting.
• Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate month-end and periodic financial reporting.
• Assist with general ledger maintenance by verifying account activity and researching unusual variances.
• Support both accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to help keep day-to-day accounting operations running smoothly.
• Help maintain accurate accounting records during ongoing operational needs, including work related to prior Microsoft Dynamics activity when applicable.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address outstanding items, improve financial accuracy, and provide dependable accounting support.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on accounting experience in roles involving accounts receivable, general ledger activity, and reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable processes and standard accounting controls.
• Ability to prepare journal entries accurately and maintain organized supporting documentation.
• Experience completing bank reconciliations and resolving variances with strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with credit card reconciliation and transaction review.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and spreadsheets; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is helpful.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

$28.50-$33.00 Hourly
