Payroll and Accounting Manager

Seeking an experienced Payroll & Accounting Manager to provide hands-on support across payroll and general accounting.

The role may lean more heavily toward payroll/prevailing wage or toward accounting, as long as the candidate has experience across both areas.

Responsibilities may include:

• Weekly multi-state payroll for approximately 60 employees across 9 states
• Prevailing wage and certified payroll compliance
• Payroll reporting, timekeeping review, wage classifications and fringe calculations
• General accounting, AP, billing, reconciliations and month-end support
• Process improvements, documentation and SOP development
• Supporting additional accounting and finance projects as needed

Qualifications:

Strong payroll and/or accounting background

Multi-state payroll experience

Prevailing wage or certified payroll experience strongly preferred

General accounting experience

Paychex experience is a plus

Able to work independently and take ownership of processes

Accounting Manager, Payroll Manager, Senior Accountant, Assistant Controller or similar experience
