Job Summary
This role will act as the primary liaison between the University of Kentucky, Kenyan partners, and program participants through the Experiences in Global Health (STEGH)program for University of Kentucky participants traveling to Kenya. This role involves extensive planning, cross-cultural collaboration, logistical coordination, and compliance oversight to ensure a transformative and education experience for participants. Key Responsibilities Summary:
• Program Development & Promotion: Design and promote the STEGH program in collaboration with international partners, ensuring alignment with global health ethics and UK Education Abroad standards.
• Participant Support: Oversee recruitment, application guidance, and pre-departure support, including visa, health, and travel documentation.
• Logistics & Operations: Coordinate in-country activities with Kenyan partners,manage travel arrangements, housing, supplies, and regulatory compliance, and ensure participant safety and comfort.
• Financial Management: Develop and manage program budgets, handle billing and payments, forecast expenses, and pursue grant opportunities to support program growth.
• Partnership Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with Kenyan universities, clinics, schools, and community organizations to support meaningful collaboration and cultural exchange.
• Evaluation & Improvement: Collect and analyze participant feedback, identify areas for enhancement, and report on program outcomes to guide future development.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
• Experience in program coordination, international travel, or global health initiatives.
• Strong organizational, communication, and cross-cultural skills.
• Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.

Preferred Education/Experience
Master’s degree preferred. Microsoft Office Suite experience.
