The Director, Corporate Accounting, oversees headquarters close including consolidation, cash flow process, and complex accounting matters such as lease accounting, restructuring activities, and stock-based compensation. This role is also responsible for ensuring SOX controls are executed timely and effectively.

The Director partners closely with Finance leadership, SEC Reporting, Tax, Internal Audit and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements. This role plays a critical leadership position in the Controllership in safeguarding accounting integrity while supporting strategic business initiatives.

Responsibilities

Technical Accounting & Policy

  • Interpret and implement accounting guidance from the FASB, SEC, and other regulatory bodies, including assessing financial statement impact for accounting areas under responsibilities


  • Key contributor in the development, enhancement, and governance of company-wide accounting policies.


  • Oversee accounting for complex areas including lease accounting (ASC 842), stock-based compensation, and restructuring activities.


  • Oversee accounting for internal-use software and cloud computing arrangements.


  • Ensure technical accounting conclusions align with SOX controls and audit requirements.


Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Serve as the leader of the HQ close process


  • Manage consolidation matters, including intercompany eliminations, ownership structures, and equity method accounting considerations.


  • Partner with the SEC Reporting team to review complex financial statement disclosures and footnotes.


  • Support quarterly and annual reporting processes as needed.


  • Serve as a key liaison for internal and external audit matters.


Leadership & Collaboration

  • People leadership responsibilities including directly managing 3 FTEs


  • Collaborate with GBS, Tax, FP&A, Treasury, Legal, and operational leaders to resolve accounting matters.


  • Lead or support enterprise-wide finance initiatives and special projects.


  • Other responsibilities, as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required


  • Active CPA (or equivalent certification) required


  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and experience with SEC registrants


  • Strong technical expertise in U.S. GAAP


  • Demonstrated experience leading accounting analysis for complex transactions


  • ERP experience is strongly recommended.

Physical Demands / Working Environment

  • Primarily office-based in a professional, climate-controlled setting


  • On-site presence required four (4) days per week; one (1) remote day permitted based on business needs


  • Extended computer and 10-key use


  • Occasional light lifting (up to 25 pounds)


  • Requires sustained concentration, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.


  • Minimal travel (less than 5%); occasional extended hours during peak periods (e.g., month-end or year-end close).
