Qualifications



RS&H is currently seeking a Senior Architect to join our Federal Market Buildings team in Savannah, GA

 

As part of the Buildings team, this role supports Federal, military, and government clients on a wide range of facilities projects. The Senior Architect will play a key technical leadership role, delivering architectural solutions for missiondriven facilities while coordinating closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Essential Functions

  • Define architectural project elements and processes to meet Federal client needs
  • Participate in and coordinate estimates, proposals, and bid preparations
  • Ensure performance to contract requirements through planning and monitoring work orders and deliverables in coordination with engineering, construction, and other disciplines
  • Plan and develop architectural projects involving complex and unique challenges
  • Participate in conceptual design and provide full technical support through all phases of project delivery
  • Coordinate with project management, architects, and firm leadership on technical solutions and product strategies
  • Promote and maintain client relationships throughout all project phases and support business development efforts
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert on assigned projects and specialized systems
  • Review junior staff work for technical accuracy and provide mentorship and technical guidance
  • Perform quality control reviews, field reviews, inspections, and construction observations
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams and, as needed, manage a small group of direct reports

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in architecture from an NAABaccredited program or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of architectural experience, including:
    • Work on major projects or multiple moderatescale projects
    • Providing technical guidance to entry or juniorlevel staff
    • Reviewing work for technical accuracy
    • Participating in the development or implementation of processes, standards, or operational plans
  • Active architectural license in good standing
  • Experience supporting Federal, military, or government clients
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, and ordinances
  • Proficiency in architectural production software and construction document development
  • Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to deliver timely, practical solutions
  • Proven ability to address challenging issues in a professional and businessminded manner
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Due to federal contract requirements, this position is limited to candidates who are U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant area of focus
