Logistics Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to support daily transportation and shipping operations in Eagan, Minnesota. This contract position with permanent potential is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating appointments, maintaining accurate records, and helping resolve shipment-related issues in a fast-paced logistics environment. The person in this role will work closely with carriers and internal partners to keep loads moving efficiently while providing proactive support for customer accounts.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments to help ensure freight moves on schedule.
• Enter shipment information accurately and create load records within logistics systems.
• Monitor freight activity and provide timely tracking updates to customers and internal teams.
• Investigate service issues and take action to resolve delays, exceptions, and other transportation concerns.
• Communicate with carriers to secure competitive transportation rates and confirm service availability.
• Develop and maintain routing guides and approved carrier lists based on shipment needs and service criteria.
• Support shipping and receiving activities by helping organize transportation details and required documentation.
• Provide proactive account support by identifying potential issues early and helping maintain smooth day-to-day operations.

Qualifications:

• Experience or interest in logistics, transportation, shipping, or receiving operations.
• Ability to enter data accurately and manage multiple shipment details at once.
• Strong communication skills for working with carriers, customers, and internal teams.
• Comfortable handling issue resolution in a fast-moving, service-focused environment.
• Basic understanding of load planning, tracking, and carrier coordination.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn logistics systems, routing processes, and account support procedures quickly.

Compensation

$20.00-$25.00 Hourly
