Paralegal

Position Overview

Robert Half is partnering with an Environmental Law Firm to hire a Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys with litigation matters, legal research, document review, proofreading, cite-checking, and case management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while utilizing legal technology and AI tools to enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation.
• Conduct legal research and assist with drafting and reviewing legal documents.
• Proofread and cite-check pleadings, motions, correspondence, and filings.
• Prepare and manage court filings, deadlines, and case files.
• Assist with discovery, document review, and trial preparation.
• Utilize legal technology and AI tools to support workflows.
• Handle administrative and project-based tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure matters are completed accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Paralegal Certificate required.
• 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of California court procedures and filings.
• Experience supporting complex litigation matters.
• Excellent cite checking, proofreading, research, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new software and AI tools.
• High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and a proactive attitude.
• Environmental law experience is a plus, but not required.
