Senior Franchise Paralegal

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Franchise Paralegal to join the legal team of a global resturant brand in Irvine, California. This Long-term Contract position will play a key role in supporting franchise transactions, contract administration, compliance activities, and day-to-day legal operations. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys and cross-functional partners on high-volume, business-critical matters in a fast-moving corporate environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, revise, and oversee franchise-related contracts, including new agreements, renewals, amendments, transfers, and other supporting documents.

• Provide transactional support from initial intake through final execution, helping keep franchise development matters on schedule.

• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of Franchise Disclosure Documents and support compliance with applicable franchise regulations.

• Organize and maintain legal records and contract management systems, while monitoring deadlines, approvals, and ongoing obligations.

• Collaborate with internal business teams, outside counsel, and franchise partners to move legal requests and documentation forward efficiently.

• Perform legal research and develop clear summaries, written updates, and correspondence for attorneys and stakeholders.

• Contribute to projects related to corporate governance, licensing matters, and operational legal support across the business.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of paralegal experience in franchise law, corporate law, commercial contracts, transactions, or a related business legal setting.
• Demonstrated ability to draft, analyze, and manage a wide range of legal agreements with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of franchise structures, Franchise Disclosure Documents, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working across legal and business teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience using contract lifecycle or document management systems.
• In-house legal department experience, paralegal certification, or a bachelor's degree is valued.
• Background supporting franchise, restaurant, retail, hospitality, or other multi-unit operations is preferred.

Compensation

$51.46-$59.59 Hourly
