Global Trade Compliance
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Global Trade Principal Specialist to support import compliance operations across a complex, international business environment. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations, supporting import operations, analyzing trade data, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the global trade function.

Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily import entry operations and customs compliance activities.
- Manage import-related inquiries, audits, and data requests from U.S. Customs authorities.
- Collect, analyze, and report import data to support operational metrics and compliance dashboards.
- Conduct import declaration audits to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor duty refunds and maintain tracking tools to maximize duty recovery opportunities.
- Support trade compliance projects, strategic initiatives, and duty mitigation efforts.
- Stay informed on global trade developments, including tariffs, anti-dumping duties, countervailing duties, and other regulatory changes impacting imports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure compliant and efficient import processes.
- Identify process improvements and recommend innovative solutions to enhance trade compliance operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant global trade, import/export, customs compliance, or related experience
- OR
- Master's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience
- OR
- 9+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience working with trade compliance systems, ERP platforms, and business applications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other business tools.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) certification.
- Experience with import compliance and customs regulations.
- Project management experience.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset.
- Experience supporting large-scale, multinational trade operations.
- Familiarity with SAP, Global Trade Services (GTS), SharePoint, Smartsheet, Access, and similar business systems.
Compensation
