Robert Half is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a contract opportunity with a Cedar Rapids-area employer. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations and is well-suited for someone who enjoys working with financial data, maintaining accurate records, and keeping processes running smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing

• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Maintaining and updating financial records
• Performing bank and account reconciliations
• Preparing and posting journal entries
• Assisting with invoicing, billing, and collections activities
• Supporting month-end close processes
• Researching and resolving account discrepancies
• Generating financial reports and spreadsheets as requested

Qualifications:

What We're Looking For

-Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial support roles

-Understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and general ledger functions

-Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel

-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

-Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar accounting software
• Payroll processing experience
• Experience supporting small business or corporate accounting functions
