Payroll Analyst

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support a time-sensitive Contract assignment in Everett, Washington. In this role, you will help gather and organize payroll-related records for a large employee population while ensuring accuracy and completeness across all documentation. This position offers initial onsite training followed by primarily remote work, and it is well suited for someone who is comfortable handling payroll data, navigating reporting systems, and working carefully under deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Retrieve payroll records, including timecards, pay statements, compensation changes, and other related documentation for assigned employees.

• Use payroll and spreadsheet systems to compile, track, and organize large volumes of payroll information with a high degree of accuracy.

• Generate batch reports and pull historical payroll materials needed to support project documentation requests.

• Review employee records for payment-related transactions and collect supporting approvals or records tied to compensation activity.

• Monitor payroll queues or inboxes for exceptions, discrepancies, or processing issues and follow up as needed.

• Investigate timecard-related concerns by reviewing available records and identifying missing or inconsistent information.

• Maintain organized files and documentation so records can be accessed efficiently and verified when required.

• Contribute to a high-priority payroll project by meeting productivity expectations and maintaining strong attention to detail throughout the assignment.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in payroll or payroll analysis roles.
• Hands-on experience supporting full-cycle payroll processes.
• Background working with payroll for employee populations of 500 or more.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive data with accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with system-generated payroll records.
• Ability to learn new payroll platforms quickly; prior exposure to Paycom is helpful but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage repetitive, deadline-driven tasks effectively.

Compensation

$22.16-$25.66 Hourly
