Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Medical Receptionist to join a busy healthcare office. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in creating a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
• Answer and route incoming phone calls
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
• Register patients and update demographic and insurance information
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary documentation
• Maintain accurate patient records and perform data entry
• Collect co-pays and process payments as needed
• Manage incoming faxes, emails, and correspondence
• Assist providers and clinical staff with administrative tasks
• Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Perform general office duties, including filing, scanning, and organizing record

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous medical receptionist, healthcare, customer service, or administrative experience preferred
• Familiarity with Epic required
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
• Detail-oriented with accurate data entry skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
