Project Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to support financial oversight and accounting activities for multiple projects. This role is responsible for monitoring project budgets, tracking costs, preparing financial reports, managing billing, and helping ensure projects are completed in alignment with financial goals and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor project budgets, costs, revenue, and overall financial performance. Based on general knowledge.
• Prepare and maintain project-related financial records, reconciliations, and reports. Based on general knowledge.
• Review contracts and project terms to support accurate billing and revenue recognition. Based on general knowledge.
• Track project expenditures and investigate budget variances. Based on general knowledge.
• Partner with project managers and business leaders to provide financial insight and reporting. Based on general knowledge.
• Process client invoicing and assist with collections as needed. Based on general knowledge.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities related to project accounting. Based on general knowledge.
• Help ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and contract requirements. Based on general knowledge.
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning for active projects. Based on general knowledge.
• Maintain data integrity within ERP and project accounting systems. Based on general knowledge.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in project accounting, construction accounting, or a project-based services environment
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and revenue recognition
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
