Job Description

As an Accounting Manager, you’ll oversee daily accounting activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting — all while representing EST with professionalism and integrity.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily Accounting Operations — Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Payroll Administration — Process bi‑weekly payroll, maintain certified payroll reporting, and reconcile state and federal payroll taxes.
Financial Reporting — Lead month‑end and year‑end close, ensure accuracy of financial statements, and identify trends to support fiscal responsibility.
Forecasting & Planning — Project inflows/outflows, oversee reconciliations, and manage reserves.
Compliance & Audits — Maintain internal controls, ensure GAAP compliance, and develop strategies for auditing and testing procedures.
Team Leadership — Supervise, mentor, train, and review accounting staff; establish best practices aligned with company policy.
Cross‑Functional Support — Partner with the CFO and internal teams to support new initiatives and organizational improvements.
Process Improvement — Implement qualitative best practices and enhance accounting workflows.
General Office Functions — Support administrative tasks as needed.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and maintain required reports for leadership.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding financial, payroll, and strategic information.
Care for and maintain assigned company property.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or lead roles.
CPA or CMA preferred.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills required.
Experience with certified payroll reporting preferred.
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
Self‑motivated, organized, dependable, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Fluent in English (oral and written).
Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to complete complex work requiring continuous mental and visual effort.
Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.
Occasional exposure to hazardous materials or equipment.
Ability to lift 15–30 lbs periodically.
Ability to travel by commercial aircraft.
