Job Description

Are you ready to support a fast‑moving organization by keeping a multi‑location fleet running safely, efficiently, and reliably? As a Fleet Management Specialist, you’ll oversee fleet operations, maintenance, asset tracking, and vehicle commissioning — ensuring EST teams have the equipment they need to deliver high‑impact work across the country.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on mechanical work, organizing complex asset data, coordinating maintenance, and improving fleet performance. If you’re dependable, detail‑oriented, and thrive in dynamic environments, we’d love to meet you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fleet Availability & Utilization — Ensure vehicles, trailers, heavy equipment, and specialty tools are available, safe, and used efficiently.

  • Vehicle Commissioning & Upfitting — Receive and inspect vehicles, install shelving, service bodies, toolboxes, decals, telematics, and accessories for deployment.

  • Asset Inventory Management — Track ownership, location, usage, and status of all fleet assets across multiple sites.

  • Maintenance Coordination — Schedule and track routine maintenance (oil changes, wear items, calibrations), repairs, cleaning, and testing to optimize performance and lifespan.

  • Documentation & Reporting — Maintain required records including registration, insurance, inventory, costs, maintenance schedules, and contracted services.

  • Fleet Performance Analysis — Track, report, and forecast operational costs, asset condition, and end‑of‑life planning.

  • Telematics & Camera Systems — Install and maintain telematics/camera systems, monitor daily fleet usage, support drivers, and collaborate with stakeholders on data insights.

  • SOP Lifecycle Management — Create, revise, and implement fleet‑related standard operating procedures.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and maintain required reports for leadership.

  • Liaise with EST personnel to ensure seamless workflows.

  • Travel to EST locations as needed (15–20%).

  • Maintain assigned company property.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of fleet management experience.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or transportation preferred.

  • Strong technical aptitude; proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel, and telematics platforms.

  • Hands‑on fleet commissioning experience (vehicle setup, accessories, equipment installation).

  • Ability to work independently in a rapidly evolving environment.

  • Excellent administrative, organizational, and planning skills.

  • Strong communication skills; personable, dependable, and self‑motivated.

  • Ability to travel 15–20%.

  • Completion of required safety training certifications.

  • Fluent in English; valid driver’s license with excellent driving record.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain military base passes and other access credentials.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to complete complex work requiring continuous mental and visual effort.

  • Ability to work under rigorous physical conditions: kneeling, bending, climbing, exposure to hazards, excessive noise, cramped spaces, and frequent tool use.

  • Ability to maneuver around moving objects, vehicles, and machinery.

  • Ability to work outdoors in various environmental conditions.

  • Ability to routinely lift 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.

  • Ability to climb ladders (300 lb limit).

  • May require long‑distance driving and travel by commercial aircraft.
