Purpose:
The Corporate Accountant will perform a variety of accounting and reporting functions for Zeon Chemicals L.P., as follows: general ledger accounting related responsibilities, intercompany accounting and reporting functions, and other accounting and general support duties as assigned.
Job Functions/Accountabilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete intercompany accounting functions, including journal entries, accruals, payment settlements, and chargebacks.
- Prepare intercompany reconciliations and confirmations on a periodic basis.
- Prepare all calculations and analyses related to foreign currency transactions.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger accounting responsibilities on a timely and accurate basis.
- Prepare and post all assigned journal entries and complete assigned account reconciliations.
- Assist with the annual and interim external audits by completing data requests as assigned.
- Complete quarterly report package to Parent Company and other supporting schedules as requested.
- Complete government report packages or schedules as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with all JSOX key financial controls.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements, ensuring that customers' (both internal and external) needs are met.
- Adhere to the quality system.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business required
- Equivalent experience may be considered
Experience:
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in an accounting function is required.
- Experience with intercompany accounting is preferred.
- Experience in preparing financial statements is preferred.
- SAP experience is preferred.

- Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and written, with internal customers, peers, and management.
- Ability to meet deadlines is critical.
- Problem solving, analytical thinking, and documentation knowledge.
- Understanding of overall accounting rules and theory a must.
